Free Legal MP3 of the Week - Knapsack Heroes - "Misfit Me"

Last week I finally added one of my songs as a legal MP3 of the week.

This week I add my band, Knapsack Heroes. This is Knapsack Heroes - "Misfit Me". I am nowhere to be found on this track. Nor can I be found on the CD. This is pre-Eric stuff.

The band has changed quite a bit since this CD came out.

You can see us live during the National Youth Workers Convention in Nashville. We'll be doing a show with other Fuselage Artists at Rocketown on Sunday, November 20 specifically for NYWC registrants (but anyone can come). It's free and open to the public so please, please, please come out and show some love.

Go to the Fuselage site or the Knapsack Heroes MySpace to hear more music from the CD. And check the MySpace at the end of the week for a song we're doing with Treefinger for the newest Worship Feast book.

Knapsack Heroes Interview

Most of you know that, in addition to my solo music career, I am now in a band called Knapsack Heroes. I play guitar and sing. We are a hip hop meets rock band.

The independently released CD is really good. I'm not on the CD, so I can say that. Anyway, the album is garnering radio play at chargeradio.com and this weekend they will interview us at our Louisville show.

The interview will air around 11:45 am central Saturday and again at 8:00 PM on Saturday. Sunday they will re-air it at 1:45 PM Central and once again at 11 pm. Go to chargeradio and listen to the interview. While you're there, request "Misfit Me" by Knapsack Heroes.

If you're in the Louisville area, we'll be at Epiphany UMC on Friday night at 8 PM eastern time.

To hear Knapsack Heroes, see pictures, and learn about our concert dates, go to www.myspace.com/knapsackheroes.

I Am A Knapsack Hero

It's official. I have joined Knapsack Heroes as the guitarist. Now begins the balancing act between solo artist and supporting band member. Steve and Meth (these two guys are to Knapsack what Leigh and Matt were to Sixpence - there are additional members but essentially, they are the band) are already helping this happen.

So, I'm very excited. Knapsack is a hip hop group, we suppose, but there is so much more there. They're CD is absolutely top notch in my opinion. The production level and and lyrical content are excellent and innovative. So, I'm proud to be involved.

You can listen to four songs at the Knapsack Heroes MySpace account.
