I've started a separate blog where I (and hopefully other people soon) will write about experiential worship and ways to incorporate it into church services. Check out the Worship Experiences Blog.
This is something that's very important to me, but I haven't really nurtured it lately, so it's a nice outlet. I led a workshop on this stuff a couple weeks ago for an Aldersgate Renewal Ministries worship conference and was really encouraged that interactive worship is something a lot of people are interested in, but just don't know quite how to go about doing.
So, in addition to this blog, I'll be posting there from time to time with ideas and things I've done in the past.
I'd like to get other folks to write for the worship experiences blog as well, so if you're interested in this sort of thing, please email me at eric(at)ericcoomer(dot).com.

New multisensory alt.worship blog
I haven't posted here for a while. It's just been boring and I haven't gotten any feedback lately.
I have started a new blog though. It's for something I'm passionate about, interactive worship experiences that are multisensory and participatory in nature.
So, check out http:/www.worshipexperiences.blogspot.com. I'm hoping to get tons of people involved with it, but I've already posted a couple things myself.

Blahhhhg
I just don't ever write real blog posts any more. I know I should. It was for the discipline that I started this thing in the first place.
I'll try, but for now enjoy the weekly videos and follow me on Twitter.
Oh, and you should be reading my friend Ashley Freeman's blog.
Go to the official Eric Coomer website instead.

Music Video of the Week - The Autumn Film, "Joy"
I didn't post a music video of the week this week when I usually do. Just couldn't find one that stuck out this week. The one good thing that came out of Blogger being down tonight was that in hopes of commiseration I searched the word "blogger" on Twitter and found this video on Allison Drew's blog.
Tifah Al-Attas of Boulder, CO band The Autumn Film turns a vacation Bible school classic into a modern day psalm. This is beautiful.

I'm posting the Vimeo version because the quality is always better than that of YouTube. But you can find it there as well.

New Name. (Slightly) New Layout.
Today the name changed from incapablehands to The Vast Configuration of Things. Read why here.
The new name comes from my favorite film of all time.
He turns and shouts at the goon, impassive as ever beside Potter's wheelchair.
GEORGE (cont'd)
...and that goes for you too!
As George opens the office foor to exit, he shouts at Mr. Potter's secretary in the outer office:
GEORGE (cont'd)
And it goes for you too!
Anyway, it's a better name, I think. It's also a lyric in one of my songs...a song no one has heard yet. One day...
Oh, let me know what you think about the layout.

GEORGE BAILEY
You sit around here and you spin your little webs and you think the whole world revolves around you and your money. Well, it doesn't, Mr. Potter! In the . . . in the whole vast configuration of things, I'd say you were nothing but a scurvy little spider. You...

Spare some change?
Thinking about changing the name of the blog. I have another one in mind that makes more sense. incapablehands is something I'm hanging on to for other stuff like my music publishing through BMI. I like it because it infers that my hands are incapable but I am in the capable hands of God.
Anyway, does it even matter if I change the name?
Does anyone read this blog?
If you read the blog, please leave a comment and let me know you do.

Beginning this week you can expect these things weekly:
- Tuesdays - Legal MP3 of the Week - yes, it's returned

That ought to keep me busy for a while. What should I do on Mondays?
