I couldn't decide which one to post, so I posted two. Both are sort of kind of sports movies...unconventional sports movies.
The first is Big Fan starring Patton Oswalt. I think Patton is one of the smartest and funniest stand up comics working today. So, seeing him in this rather dark looking drama should be interesting. I'd like to start Oscar buzz here, but I don't think I'm capable of that sort of thing.
The second (We're number two! We're number two!) will make you feel a little better I hope. Whip It is an eighties roller derby comedy that marks Drew Barrymore's directorial debut and stars Juno's Ellen Page along with Barrymore, Kristen Wiig, Juliette Lewis, Marcia Gay Harden, Eve and Jimmy Fallon.
