NASHVILLE - It seems several in the music industry are playing musical chairs. Nashville based band KNAPSAKHEROES! announced in a small press conference on Wednesday that the band’s rapper, Vinyl Jones, is leaving the band to focus on production and his family. Temporarily replacing Jones is former newsboys member Peter Furler. You may remember a few weeks ago when Furler announced he was being replaced by former dcTalk member Michael Tait. You may not remember that Furler rapped with Newsboys on an early album called “Boys Will Be Boyz”. Check out the song “Taste and See (Remix)”
Okay, so the honest to God truth is that Peter did leave newsboys as a touring artist and will be behind the scenes. dcTalk's Michael Tait did join newsboys as their new lead singer.
And seriously, truthfully, honestly, when you hear the K! song "My Tubesocks" that is Peter's piano. For real.
